Esau swore he would kill Jacob when they last met. In Genesis 33 Jacob and his family seek to return home when Jacob meets Esau again. This is a great picture of the mix of fear and anxiety of Jacob as well as Jacob’s trust in the promises of God to preserve him and the future of Israel.
